We’re opening the series with a focus on career pivots — the choices, trade-offs and opportunities that come with changing direction mid-career. Our first event dives into what it really takes to make these transitions work in practice, and how to approach them with confidence and clarity.

Nina is a driven individual who wants to see more of her fellow immigrants and women succeed in Canada. She started her Canadian journey in 2012, when she entered university without a solid idea of what she wanted to achieve professionally. Ambitious by nature, Nina ultimately set her sights on the investment banking industry.

After graduating from Simon Fraser University, she worked for three years as an investment banking analyst at National Bank Financial Markets. She subsequently joined Kinross Gold and SSR Mining as a Value Assurance Analyst and a Mergers & Acquisitions Manager, respectively.

Nina also worked at VRIFY Technology and recently pivoted away from the metals and mining industry to join TELUS as a Strategy Manager.

Having intentionally made multiple pivots in her career, Nina is keen to share her strategies and advice.
